Porcelain or natural stone — which should I choose?
Porcelain is dense, low-absorbency, and easy to clean — ideal for busy family spaces. Natural stone offers softer variation and character but needs more thoughtful sealing and care.
We walk through samples on site or from our suppliers so you can decide with real lighting and context.
How thick is the build-up below the paving?
We follow engineered build-ups for your ground conditions — typically a compacted sub-base, bedding layer, and correct mortar or pedestal systems as specified.
Soft or poorly drained ground may need deeper preparation; that is called out in the quote, not as a surprise extra on day one.
Can you extend or tie into an existing patio?
Often yes, if the existing base is sound and we can match or transition levels cleanly. Sometimes partial uplift gives a better long-term result; we explain the trade-offs clearly.
